What do I do if I receive a TiVo Error Message starting with D?

D256, D261 D256 or D261 occurs when you are trying to tune to a channel, and during this request an error has caused the video feed to stop.

You can troubleshoot the issue by sending a signal to your TiVo DVR.

  1. Sign in to My Account.
  2. Go to the Equipment page.
  3. Select the Activate button next to the TiVo box.
